Do you hear things in the news that you just want to gossip about? Whether it's blood-curdling or cute, we want to hear your opinions on the latest events!

OK, this is a bit old but it's still never off the news! The truth is that this has happened to many many families on their holidays so why is this case so special? What's your view?

It's sad that she's been kidnapped or whatever may have happened to her I personally think we'll find her body buried somewhere in a couple of decades.Plus I think it was irresponsable for her parents to leave her alone at that age and on holiday no less!!!

This event almost slipped from my mind though when I heard about that old man who locked his daughter up and had children with her.That is something that discusts me more than anything else.

P.S.I'm not ussually up to date with the news.

On the whole Maddie subject I agree with ephemera that her parents were extremely irrisponisle!It's stupid!you don't leave a 5 yr old kid in a foreign hotel room!They should have taken her with them!

Still on the Maddie thing- it was not irresponsible to leave their kids. They only left them for an hour while they slept so that they could eat in the restaraunt downstairs. Loads of parents leave their kids for far more time than an hour in more dangerous places than a hotel in Portugal.

Yes but their children were much too young to be left alone they should have took them with them even if it meant waiting for them to wake or if not kept checking on them.Besides what if one had woken up and the parents weren't there I know if I was that age I would cry me eyes out and be really worried!!

Loads of parents leave there kids for just a short amount of time! They weren't far away!

I think it's gross. I don't even know why it's on the news. Maybe they needed something to fill some space. Usually they don't bother with that kind of stuff.

Yeah... What did you think of that Austrian man locking his daughter in the cellar and repeatedly raping her? I think that his wife should have noticed that her daughter and her daughter's children (that she had with her own husband) were living down there.

Maybe his wife was in on it!I think it is discusting he already had his wife why rape his daughter and grandchildren

And only three of those children ever got to see daylight...
Did you know that his daughter had actually run away from him because he abused her? When the police found her they gave her back to him. Then he pretended that she had run away again and that's when he locked her in the cellar.

That's awful!!!I wish the idiots hadn't found her.I bet they didn't even give her a chance to say why she had ran away from home!!!

I say the death penalty should be reintroduced to deal with people like this.
