Hunter of the Children of the Night

Jane looked up at his blue eyes she couldn't move. She felt someone's hands on her back, and that it must be Elsie. I bet that he must have had all the ladies falling in love with him when he was alive. But I think that he still is a handsome person may he be dead andd a Vampire. "Thank you for letting us in, and sorry about Sierra. I told her not to come here." Jane said giving Sierra a look of disapointment.

"Umm...Yes thankk you sir. My friend can be a bit pushy when she is obesive. In fact Jane if like that no matter what." Elsie said, walking through the door way. I can tell that Jane is attracked to him. Leave it Jane, but maybe this could be good. She has been depresive since her mother died. I just want to see her happy agian.

"I told myself that I would never love or get to close to some one, dead or a live. It doesn't help that I just meet the General... But still...[i]

"Call me Sirius." He replied and swept into the house. He opened a door and disappeared into the living room, followed closely by Sierra. "Little girl, we have much to discuss when you're friends are out of earshot." He whispered to her and sat down, looking the complete master of his own home. "Come in, come in." He jumped up when the girls entered the room and offered them two chairs, leaving Sierra standing. She scowled and stole his seat.

Jane held is a laugh, but then shot Sierra a look saying it is rude to take ssome one's seat. "Thank you again Sirius." Was all that Jane could say. Those eyes, keep taking my eyes. Argh, why am I falling in love with this Man?[i] I just want to know why did he have to kill my Mother then turn her? Why? I just want to speak with her again, and kill her if I must, and the lord." Jane said tears starting to roll from her eyes.

Sirius froze, becoming awkward now faced with the strong emotions of a woman. He leaned down and wiped the tear from his face. "I may know your Mother... though I hope that the woman I speak of is not her. She bears no resemblance to you in any case but my master has but one mistress these days and she... accused me of something which caused me great... inconvience." Sirius wanted to do what a normal person would do, hug her and tell her everything would be alright, but he had sworn an oath of loyalty, no matter how painful his chest was becoming. "Tell me your names. I cannot do much as I will not help you kill the Lord you are not too fond of, but I may have information that would help you find your mother."

Sierra watched, fasinated, as the tears rolled down Jane's cheek. She would never get to have tears herself and was kept in thrall of the glittering orbs. She stoodup slowly and walked until she stood behind Elise, stil not taking her eyes from the tears.

Apperance-This mistrustful vampiress has hooded royal purple eyes. Her fine, straight, amber hair is neck-length and is worn in a dignified, practical style. She has a busty build. Her skin is light-colored. She can control the minds of the weak-willed. Her diet requires blood of females. Her outfits are flattering.

Bio-She was killed by the Vampire Lord, then he turned her. She is the mother of Jane Ryan. She found the Asocciation that is now run by Jane. Now Adelaine is on the side of the Lord, and hasn't seen her dought since the night that she was killed.

"My mother's name is... was Adelaine Ryan. My name is Jane Ryan. Please help me. I need to see her, talk to her. I don't want to kill her... Do you know that name?" Jane asked, looking into Sirius's blue eyes. She set off another round of tears.

"My name is Elsie Beck, just help us." she said, looking at her friend. Elsie looked behind her to see that Sierra was there. Elsie got up she couldn't sit there any more. She never saw Jane cry, and it was scaring her. She was the one who cried when there was the wake for Mrs. Ryan.

Jane felt so bad, she never did cry only cause it shows weekness. Jane wasn't the one who showed weekness. I need to see if my mother is able to live or do I have to kill her. The Lord must go to, but I think that I like Sirius.

Sierra kept gazing at the curious tears, feeling like a puppy who wanted to touch fire. She hardly took her eyes from the little drops when Elise left. She edged closer to Jane.

Sirius shifted uncomfortably. His training had included a lot but dealing with emottions? He had no experience in that field. Awkwardly, he wondered what to do. "Adelaine Ryan... rest easy. By tomorrow I shall know exactly who she is and be able to tell you her exact location." He uncomfortably patted Jane's shoulder, shivering when unexpected electricity shot through him from the contact. "Come back tomorrow. I shall have all you need to know."

Sierra finally ripped her eyes away from the tears to scowl at Sirius. "Idiot. She's upset. Invite her to stay over, have a cup of... whatever humans drink." She couldn't believe this man's stupidity.

Sirius shifted uncomfortably. "Of course. I have a few spare rooms. If you would, my lady." He bowed and offered his hand. Of course, Sirius had no intention of letting his guard down, but surely it would hurt if he could try out the strange electricity again.

Sierra rolled her eyes. This guy was so obviously born in the 14th century.

"Thank you. I guess that I will stay for the night. My friend left and took my car. I'mm sorry for crying, I never show my emotions before." Jane siad , with a light sob. I am so stupid. Leave it to me to fall for some one who is dead in a way.

"There is no need to be sorry for crying. Your daughter seems very interested in your tears." Sirius said, bowing again.

"Do I look like her daughter?!" Sierra exploded. "Do I smell like her daughter?!" She literally jumped up and down in sudden rage. It was not a complete emotion but a strange scarred memory of her own mother had leapt to the surface at Sirius's words.

He regarded her in surprise. "Forgive me. Your scullery maid then." A smirk appeared at his lips.

Sierrs gave him the look of a thousand shots of venom.

"So, I shall escort you to your room and then I shall find a dog's blanket for the servant." Sirius said to Jane, amusement twinkling in his eyes.

Sierra was ready to attack him.

"She is my daughter, nor is she my maid. Sierra is just a Vampire who thought that she could fallow me around. yes, please can yo show us to our rooms?" Jnane asaked. She wiped the tears from her eyes. She looked up at Sirius, her eyes find his. She is having a hard time controling her emotions.

"I know." Sirius said.

"A vampire who thought she could follow you around? We have a deal, Miss Ryans..." Sierra warned.

Sirius only just manged to restrain himself from rolling his eyes at Sierra's childishness. He found Jane's eyes. At that moment, she felt as if the world had been frozen but his heart had been shot full of adrenaline- but he himself had no circulating blood. He coughed, self-consiously. "If you'll follow me, my lady." She held the door open for her, before returning his gaze to Sierra. "Stay there. We need to talk."

"Only if you learn some respect." Sierra retorted.

Sirius shrugged and lead Jane out of the room.

"I know that we have a deal, but you don't have to follow me around Said Jane. she then stood you and followed Sirius out the room. She looked into his eyes again. If only he was alive, then we would be able to be together. I feel something that there is something good between us. I know that he can feel it as well. The way he stops before he talks, he has to r thinks things.

Sirius stopped outside a pair of double doors and held them open to reveal a huge room with a queen-sized bed and soft colours everywhere. "A lady's chambers. I hope you willl be comfortable. I will return in an hour with some food for you." He bowed on the way out.

He made his way downstairs and sat down across from Sierra. "Straight to business." He said. "I know you are the Born Vampire but I do not know your business, Ancient One."

"You shall not know, 'til much time hence." Sierra said cuttingly, with the same speech that was used back in Sirius's initial century. She swept out of the room and went straight into Jane's. "If that guy asks any questions about me, you know nothing, which you probably do in any case..."

"Well, if you didn't play so inoccent maybe I would know more aboout you. I will make sure that you don't end up into oour conversation. Okay?" Jane said to Sierra, not looking at the girl. Jane went to the window. "After all of this will you tell me yourt story?" Jane asked, turning to face Sierra.

"If I must kill my Mother, and I can't bring myself too do so. I need you to kill her, and use my bow n arrow. The arrow must go throough her heart. Do you understand me?" she said moving close to Sierra.

Sierra froze. "I-I can't. I am under oath. If I break it... If I spill the blood of another vampire... I will asume my true age for all eternity- I will lose my childhood. For all of my life, I shall forever be..." She shivered. "Twenty years old." Without another word, Sierra slipped into the rafters of the room and took a poison pill.

Then you must keep your oath. Jane went to the bed, and climbed in. She was asleep when her head hit that pillow. That night she had wild dreams. Dreams that she may never understand. "Mommy, mommy, wake up. Come on mommy wake up!" said the little girl verson of Jane, who was shaking her mother. Then Jane sees herself infront of Sirius's Manor, her belly is round... She then runs her tung along her teeth, a few of them are pointed. Somthing hits her, from within her belly.....AH!!!!" screamed Jane sitting up fast. Her breathing is out of control.

Sierra woke up instantly at the noise, the poison pill didn't succed in keeping her high-attuned senses asleep. However, it did make her groggy and she fell from the rafters and onto the floor. She bounced up, rubbing her elbow which would have been broken had she been human. She did a quick 360 scan of the room and sighed when she spotted a very shaken Jane but no other signs of intrusion. "What's wrong."

Outside, Sirius had his ear pressed to the door. He had heard the scream too and had run as fast as he could. Now he just listened.

Sierra scowled slightly, smelling Sirius's distinctly male scent outside the door.

"I-I had a dream. At first I was trying to wake my mother up.... it was from my childhood. Then it flashed over to something. I saw myself outside, pregnant and my teeth where sharp." she said, whipping the sweat off her brow. She looked around, the room.

"I'm sorry if I woke you Serria, and you to Sirius." Jane said, laying back down in the bed.

Sirius opened the door and strode in, witha troubled expression on his brow. "How did you know I was there?"

Sierra rolled her eyes. "You make more noise than a herd of elephants!"

Sirius ignored her, barely, and turned to Jane. "Don't worry yourself about your dream. Vampires don't get pregnant."

"Then where did I come from?!" Sierra spat, practically jumping up and down.

"You are unique. Jane has nothing to fear." Sirius had felt the electricity again when Jane had said his name and wondered if he had the same effect on her.

Jane looked away blushing. "But you never know right? I could be soething different, if I was ever turned." she said looking back at Sirius.
"Sirius... answer me..." Jane felt like she was goign to cry. To late, she started to sob.

"My lady, I truely do not know how a vampire... has babies. But you need not fear that. You're human." Sirius looked very uncomfortable at the subject change. He didn't want to have to talk about babies.

Sierra laughed.
