"FOR YOU'RE INFORMATION WE DO NOT EAT OTHER PEOPLE!" Henderson yelled, his face turned an unnatural shade of purple. "I'll untie you just don't run off." Henderson untied Marie and backed up.

marie stared at him, shock plain on her face.
"You'd certainly think you did the way you act. And all this time I was thinking up what spices I'd taste good with and differnt ways to cook me,I'm partial to the roasting over the fire method myself, but you may prefer the boling in a pot method., what a waste of my time." She said, trying to annoy purple-face.

Ressa tried very hard not to roll her eyes, she really did. But it was too much for her and she leaned on Thom, breaking out into laughter while all this was going on. She stood up and wiped away her tears, becoming serious. "Sir, this is a breach of Rea's contract. To restrain her, Sir." Her voice dropped and her eyebrows raised. "But really, you can lead a troop of a thousand men into war and have nothing but loyalty from them. You can save a village of people who are all trapped inside their homes with fire all around them and you can chase the Brigands for months and your stubborn wife is still true to you... and yet you can't handle a little girl."

Henderson turned red now. "Well I have all sons. I wanted a little girl, and so does me wife... But we got strong lads. Okay?" HE looked at Thome and Ressa. "So you two take care of her." He walked off muttering random curse words that they couldn't hear.

Thom finally broke out into laughter.

Ressa leaned against him, laughing too. "Oh man! For a superior, he acts like, oh man!" Finally, she was able to control herself, but kept breaking into occaisional chuckles, very girlishly for someone who had acted a man all her life. "I'm sorry about... hee hee... that Rea. He really shouldn't have... ha ha... done anything like that... oh Lord! to you."

Marie's face moulded itself ito the image of a childish sulk.
"Stop laughing. I was being deadly serious. I'd like to have lots of pepper on me when i'm eaten!Anyway can I go now, I'm bored."Marie said

Ressa looked at Thom. "Well, since Henderson was absolutely useless at that... I'd like to ask you a few questions myself. Then I'll personally escort you back to where you live and apologise to your parents for keeping you so long."

Thom nodded. "I'll be with my brother. I need to get him to bed. HE can't watch Abby all night." Thom walked off to Dante's tent.

Ressa offered her hand to Rea. "Now, shall we continue this conversation in a more comfortable place? I swear I'm wearing no weapons and you will not be tied up again."

Marie didn't put her hand anywhere near Ressa and just nodded, not saying a thing about the fact she couldn't go home.

Ressa awkwardly took her hand back, and walked to her tent, opening it for Rea and then sitting down. "Alright, first thing's first. I'd still like to know why you were trying to kill me."

Marie saw a way to avoid the question and decided to use it.
"Who said I was trying to kill you?"She asked.

Ressa raised an eyebrow. "Now that's just impolite. Answering a question with a question. I wil repeat, why were you trying to kill me? You certainly didn't deny it before."

Marie looked at Ressa skeptically.
"What's wrong with eing rude?After all I'm a little savage. Any way I did it because I thought you were someone I knew."She said.

Ressa folded her arms. The guilt-trip didn't work for her. "A little savage, eh Lady Rea? Seriously though, you were trying to stick a knife in me."

Marie smiled sheepishly at Ressa.
"And what's wrong with stickiing a knife in someone? Lots of people do it. You can't expect any less from a savage."She said slipping into a rough accent as she did so.

"Were you a savage, little miss, you would not mimic a priveleged accent. You have at least been around people." Ressa huffed. "Fine, I'll let you get away with not answering that one but the next ones are important. Who are you? Where do you come from? And why is someone as young as you alone? Where is your family?"

Marie hated that question but the lies were so well practiced by now they were almost the truth.
"I'm Rea. My family owned a bakery, but our village was attacked by bandits all my family was killed 'cept for me, I said you looked like someone I knew, you looked like one of the badits that attacked my family see. I'm only alone cause I'm a traveling physian, I used to have a teacher but I wandered away in a forest one day and got lost, since then I've not travelled with anyone." She said, not a hint of a lie to be found in her voice or on her face.

Ressa clenched and unclenched her fists, brimming with anger. "I bet it was those blooming Brigands. I swear that one day I'll stop them..." Her face was red and steam was practically coming out of her ears.

Marie kept quiet simply grateful Ressa hadn't seen through her lie. Although she was silently seething that Ressa would blame in on the Brigands when they were the ones who looked after her when her village was burned.

"Come on," Ressa then said, her face softening. "I'll go get Thom so we have told someone that we've left- assuming you don't want to speak to Henderson again- and then we'll go get you back to where you live with my express apologies for keeping you so long."

"didn't you hear me, i don't live anywhere, i'm travelling.I'd like to continue if you please."Marie said.

"OK then," Ressa hesitated. "If you're travelling alone then... why don't you stay with the cavalry for a bit. It is a risky time we live in and I would personally see to it that you come to no harm, no even by that old coot- don't tell him I said that- Henderson."

Marie searched in the recesses of her mind for an excuse, but find none she simply nodded and resigned herself to the situation.

"Don't look so miserable. You can stay with me. We're moving on soon. I'l introduce you to my best friends." Ressa smiled kindly, showing Rea the way to Abby's tent. "I think they might be inside here. I'll just check that they are awake." She poked her head inside.
